Statutory BDS 1499 compliance checks, leak detection methodologies, and fire service emergency protocols mandated for all LPG consumers in Bangladesh.
Statutory BDS 1499 compliance checks, leak detection methodologies, and fire service emergency protocols mandated for all LPG consumers in Bangladesh.
1. Mandatory Hose Inspection Protocols
According to BDS 1499, reinforced LPG rubber hoses must be checked monthly for signs of surface hardening, pinhole fractures, or discoloration. Soap-bubble water testing is the only authorized manual method—never use open flames.
2. High-Pressure Regulator Calibration
Commercial kitchen manifolds must feature dual auto-cutoff valves. Regulators showing physical wear, pressure drop, or rubber gasket degradation must be immediately decommissioned and handed to licensed LOAB technicians.
3. 24/7 Fire Service & BERC Safety Directives
In case of suspected odor or persistent hissing, close the main valve clockwise, open all ventilation apertures, and avoid operating electrical switches.
1. Follow Recommended Safety Guidelines
Always adhere to certified operating guidelines and use approved equipment.
